Rhodesian Federation

In this scenario, the 1963 Victoria Falls Conference (which leads to the dissolution in OTL to the Federation of Rhodesia and Nyasaland), is able to save some remnant of federation. While Nyasaland still becomes independent as Malawi. In addition, the larger African population, combined with the greater amount of power of white moderates,  eventually leads to a more liberal attitude toward the majority black population. There is still large amount of unrest, and it is still a long struggle for complete enfranchisement, which doesn't occur till 1978 (same time as OTL internal settlement), but there is no large scale, Bush War like conflict. In addition, the Federation is able to keep up its impressive economic growth, leading to its status as a Newly Industrialized Country by 2014. Despite this, the Federation still is plagued by issues over persistent inequality in income between the minority white population and the majority black population, as well as the issues that generally affect NIC.

As for the flag itself, I based it on the Rhodesian flag with the coat of arms of the Federation of Rhodesia and Nyasaland in the center. Made in Paint.
